Mark Graham aka "MarkyG"

Mark Graham aka “MarkyG” is a Presenter, Producer, Photographer, Journalist, Writer, Videographer, Designer, Editor, MC, Host, Model and Technician. MarkyG has over 20 years experience working in the media, web and graphic design and telecommunications industries in various capacities.

MarkyG has worked in the Media Sector working for CairnsFM 89.1, Bumma Bippera Media 98.7FM in Cairns, 4AAA Murri Country 98.9FM in Brisbane, the National Indigenous Radio Service (N.I.R.S) in Brisbane, Blackstar Radio. Over time, he has been a writer and photographer for the National Indigenous Times, Koori Mail, and various other online publications, papers and magazines.  He has also spent 5 years, working for Telstra as a Technician.

MarkyG Enterprises

Throughout his working life before he gave it all up to focus on MarkyG Enterprises. Mark held many roles. These roles, amongst others, included:

  •  Program Manager and Senior Broadcaster at CairnsFM 89.1
  • Media and Communications Consultant for the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Disability Network of QLD (ATSIDNQ)
  • Tutor for Batchelor Institute of Indigenous Tertiary Education in the NT
  • Radio announcer, journalist and producer at many radio stations
  • Communications Officer for ATSIC
  • Media Officer and Accountant for a Cairns-based accounting firm.

On the side of all that he has been involved with starting radio stations in various locations in conjunction with Patrick Malone, been an influence on concert promoters to make use of Indigenous and Community Radio when promoting concerts, tours and festivals. Furthermore, he has also been involved with training programs and workshops done through schools and holiday training programs.

These days you can find him in Cairns being dad, running his business MarkyG Enterprises, taking pics and vids at many different concerts, sporting events, and community events, across Cairns and around the world. MarkyG also plays football for the Cairns City Lions Australian Football Club (when named) and sits as a member of several boards.
